International road freight transportation is a logistics form that enables goods to move between two or more countries or regions through road transport vehicles, serving as a link between different modes of transportation. Its characteristics are reflected in the benefits of time difference, transportation quality (fewer loading and unloading links, low cargo damage rate), and long-distance benefits, but there are also limitations such as small load capacity, high freight rates, and unsuitability for long-distance transportation. The business process includes three stages: sending, in transit, and arrival, involving procedures such as waybill issuance, goods handover, and acceptance. The freight calculation is based on the ton/mile unit system, distinguishing between two rate standards: full truckload and less than truckload.
