It is expected to arrive in the Russian capital Moscow in 15 days. This is the 30th China Europe freight train from the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area to Russia this year.

The reporter learned from China Railway Guangzhou Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guangzhou Railway Group") that as of July 22, a total of 94 China Europe trains have been operated in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area this year, a year-on-year increase of 15%. It is expected that in the first seven months of this year, the number of China Europe freight trains in Guangdong Province will exceed 100, with a capacity of over 55000 tons, accounting for 80% of Guangdong's international railway freight volume.

According to Guangzhou Freight Center of Guangzhou Railway Group, the China Europe freight train departing on the 22nd covers a total distance of over 11000 kilometers, making it one of the longest international trains in the world. This China Europe freight train can transport over 1200 tons of materials abroad in one trip, which is more than 15 days faster than current sea freight. The freight rate is relatively cheaper, and it has significant time and cost advantages. It not only departs on time, but also arrives within a limited time. While the current global pandemic has not been effectively contained and sea and air transportation have been greatly affected, the advantages of China Europe freight trains have been further highlighted.

Since the beginning of this year, the China Europe freight trains in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area have been highly favored by domestic and foreign cargo owners. At present, more than 100 logistics companies have joined hands with Guangzhou Railway Group to orderly organize hundreds of industrial products in the Greater Bay Area and agricultural products from various European countries for transportation by China Europe freight trains.

According to statistics, in the first half of this year, China Railway operated a total of 5122 China Europe freight trains, a year-on-year increase of 36%. The China Europe freight train, as the main force connecting land transportation of various countries, has become a major bridge and hub for import and export trade in the current situation of widespread stagnation in sea and air transportation.

As the most developed region in China's foreign trade, the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area will have a further strong demand for foreign trade relying on the China Europe freight train in the second half of this year. Therefore, the operation of the China Europe freight train in the Greater Bay Area is urgently needed, "said Huang Liming, Chief Engineer of the Freight Department of Guangzhou Railway Group. Guangzhou Railway Group is busy laying out routes, doing a good job in epidemic prevention and disinfection, strengthening loading and unloading safety, arranging backbone personnel to connect with domestic and foreign shippers, ensuring that shippers can raise demands at any time, railways can accept them at any time, and achieve on-demand collection and transportation.
