Imported goods from China are transported by railway from ports to various departments or warehouses, while exported goods are transported by railway from the place of origin or warehouse to the port area for loading. The transfer of foreign trade materials between provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions is all part of domestic railway transportation. In fact, it is transportation centered around ports.

Goods supplied to Hong Kong and Macau are transported by railway from their place of origin to Shenzhen North Station or Guangzhou South Station, which is different from general domestic transportation. The specific method is:

(1) The overseas shipping or foreign trade company from the place of shipment shall handle the consignment procedures with the local railway bureau, and transport the goods to Shenzhen North Station via the domestic railway section. The overseas shipping or foreign trade company from the place of shipment shall entrust the Shenzhen Overseas Shipping Branch to handle the transfer procedures such as receiving, customs declaration, inspection, and rail transit. The pre sent documents and the departure telegram sent after loading are the basis for Shenzhen Waiyun to organize transportation.

(2) After receiving the arrival notice from the railway, Shenzhen Waiyun took out the relevant documents that had been classified and compiled for verification, and copied them to Hong Kong China Travel Service Company for preparation for receiving the train.

(3) After the truck arrives at Shenzhen North Station, Shenzhen Waiyun and the railway will hand over the documents. If the documents are complete and correct, a track crossing plan will be prepared for the railway; If the documents are incomplete, prepare a station reservation plan for the railway. Shenzhen Waiyun will submit the export goods declaration form or the customs seal of the supervised goods together with the goods waybill to the customs for declaration. After the customs review is correct, it will conduct joint inspection with the joint inspection department on the rail transit trucks. After passing the joint inspection, it will then handle the railway consignment procedures for the port section.

(4) The truck passes through the track and is declared by Hong Kong China Travel Service to the Hong Kong Customs. After receiving the goods, it is handed over to the actual consignee in Hong Kong or Kowloon.

Goods supplied to Macau will be transshipped from Guangzhou South Station.
